Adiz Boboev, who is an acting governor of the region held a meeting with intellectuals, spiritual promoters, and creative people at Samarkand State University.
The meeting discussed the issue of further improving measures aimed at instilling national pride and love for the Motherland in young people, and raising them as spiritually mature people. Opinions were expressed on strengthening practical work related to the education of youth, enriching their worldview, and protecting them from the influence of foreign ideas. Fazliddin Madiev, a doctoral student at Samarkand State Universitynamed after Sharof Rashidov, gave a report on the lack of independent thinking skills in some young people, a lack of a sense of involvement in the events happening around them, and insufficient social immunity, which leads to their falling under the influence of various ideologies today. The rector of the university, Rustam Kholmurodov, emphasized the need to start educating young people in the spirit of patriotism, first of all, from the family, kindergarten and school. At the initiative of the head of the region, a Council will be created that will develop a single Concept for youth education and propose specific measures to implement it in the educational process. “ Patriotism should not become just a lofty phrase,” - said Adiz Boboev. “ It should become a truly inspiring force for young people, encouraging them to fight against foreign trends and ideas, and to act confidently towards tomorrow. Only then will today's generation realize our goals of creating the third Renaissance”. During the meeting, proposals were heard on creating effective propaganda methods in working with young people, taking into account their interests and aspirations in the process. The main tasks facing the newly established Council were determined.
