Tailak is the name of the village and district center in Samarkand Province. Tailak –Uzbek tribe. In Uzbek there was a form of white taylak, black tailak. The tailak is toponym, and by this way ,the name of the tribe was existenced. Tailak also appear in names of place and people. It was named after the district by the name as a village (National Encyclopedia of Uzbekistan, p. 477).
