
Adiz Boboev, who is an acting governor of Samarkand region, held talks with Yasuhide Machida, a representative of the Japanese company “Sojitz”.
They discussed the implementation of new projects in the medical sector in Samarkand, namely the creation of a modern multidisciplinary medical center. For information, representatives of the “Sojitz” company had previously visited Samarkand twice and held meetings with officials of the regional government. In particular, in February 2025, the acting governor of Samarkand region, Adiz Boboev, held a meeting with Yasuhide Machida, a representative of the Japanese company Sojitz, and Cem Uzoguz, chairman of the Ronesans International company, and agreed to jointly implement joint projects with Japan and Turkey in such areas as equipping medical institutions in our country with modern medical equipment, introducing digital technologies into the sector, and training personnel. The meeting considered a project to build an 800-bed, multidisciplinary modern medical center in Samarkand region on the principle of PPP. The project is planned to be implemented in Shirin area of Samarkand.
