The head of the region met with rectors

The head of the region Adiz Boboev visited Samarkand State University.

Accompanied by the rector of the university, scientist of the Republic of Uzbekistan, member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Rustam Kholmurodov, he inspected the newly built educational building of this university. The head of the region also visited the faculty of intellectual systems and computer technologies today. After that, Adiz Boboev met with the rectors of higher education institutions in Samarkand invited to the university. The conversation focused on preparations for the new academic year, admission results, further improving the quality of education, expanding cooperation with foreign higher education institutions, supporting talented students, paying attention to student housing, and accelerating fundamental scientific research. It should be noted that today, 70 faculties and 314 departments operate in 19 higher education institutions in the region. 101,710 students study in 324 educational areas. 253 of the professors are foreigners. The meeting discussed the tasks of providing young people with education at the level of modern requirements, forming them as qualified specialists based on the demands of the labor market, and ensuring their employment. Rectors of higher educational institutions also expressed their opinions and suggestions on the issues discussed. The head of the region wished everyone success in the new academic year.
