Adiz Boboev, who is an acting governor of the region, got acquainted with the conditions in the center.

This center is fully equipped with modern equipment and is directly connected to the geo-information system of video surveillance cameras available in the city of Samarkand. Also, information on persons on preventive records has been entered in order to solve committed crimes. Permanent duty of employees of the relevant sectoral services of the regional department of internal affairs has been established in the center. The head of the region was informed about the work being carried out on the implementation of the Resolution №1of the President of the Republic dated on January 3, 2025 “On measures to create a safe environment in the neighborhoods of the Republic in 2025 and further increase the effectiveness of the system for early prevention of offenses”. As part of the implementation of this resolution, relevant instructions were given to those responsible for installing cameras in densely populated areas to accelerate work and eliminate the identified shortcomings. It was also noted that the number of vehicles in Samarkand has increased by 2-3 times, which has led to traffic jams on the roads, which also negatively affects the environment and passenger safety. A presentation was made by officials of the Regional Department of Internal Affairs on the tasks that need to be carried out to prevent traffic jams on the streets of the city. Adiz Boboev, familiarizing himself with the presentation, noted the need to use the most effective solutions to solve the problem of traffic jams. Industry workers also provided information about the “Digital Neighborhood” system. It was noted that the “Digital Neighborhood” program, like the “Safe City” and “Safe Neighborhood” systems, will also provide good results in early detection of violations and the implementation of artificial intelligence functions such as facial recognition, trajectory determination, and automatic signaling.
