The next meeting of the Public Council under the regional government on the study of the history, culture, architectural and archaeological monuments of Samarkand has been held at the Samarkand Archaeological Institute.

As you know, in February of this year, the acting regional governor Adiz Boboev set out specific tasks for the study of the history of Samarkand  at a meeting with intellectuals and historian-scientists, a comprehensive study of the location of the Amir Temur Palace, and the scientific study and restoration of historical objects. The meeting, which was attended by the head of the region, scientists from the institute, and well-known archaeologists, discussed the implementation of these tasks. The meeting presented reports on the excavations being carried out at the Afrosiyib monument, the work being carried out to study the ancient historical sites of Samarkand, and the excavations being carried out on the Kuksaroy Square. After the meeting, the head of the region got acquainted with the activities of the laboratories of the Samarkand Institute of Archaeology and the processes of restoring unique finds.
