Adiz Boboev, the governor of Samarkand region, visited the Urgut district and got acquainted with the process of socio-economic reforms being implemented in the region and the presentation of promising projects.

Initially, the head of the region was provided with detailed information on the project of tourism facilities planned to be established on the shores of a reservoir located in the Koratepa neighbourhood of the district. This project is significant in that it is aimed at making the most of the natural potential of the region, forming a modern tourism infrastructure, and creating new jobs for the local population. The regional governor emphasized the importance of supporting initiatives that will ensure employment in this region and help form their sustainable sources of income. He also gave relevant recommendations to those responsible for the effective use of existing opportunities, careful planning of projects, and their phased implementation.
