The head of the Samarkand region held negotiations with Greta Metka Barbo Skerbínc who is a director general of the Slovenian Employment Service.

The main focus of the meeting was on the organization of labor migration and the formation of a reserve of qualified specialists for the Slovenian labor market. We would like to remind you that  a “Roadmap” has been signed between the leadership of the Migration Agency of Uzbekistan and the Slovenian Employment Service in May of this year. The document provides for the establishment of vocational training programs in Uzbekistan according to Slovenian standards. This will allow training specialists who are in high demand in Europe. The parties discussed practical measures to implement the agreement. Representatives of the Slovenian delegation expressed their readiness to employ Samarkand residents who have the necessary skills and know the language within the framework of the agreement. Representatives of the Slovenian delegation will also visit training centers in Samarkand and get acquainted with the process of training specialists.
