In Samarkand, one of the most ancient cradles of Turkish and Islamic culture, the fame of Samarkand State University, a follower of Ulugbek Madrasah, which has been spreading the rays of science, spirituality and enlightenment for 600 years, has spread to all continents.

The fact that the movement to build the Third Renaissance in Uzbekistan, initiated by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, is based on science, education and new technologies, poses serious challenges to universities in your country.

 The Decree of the President of Uzbekistan "On additional measures to further improve the activities of Samarkand State University" was a historic document adopted in accordance with the aspirations of the university community, the needs of the higher education system of the country.

 It recognizes the leading role of Samarkand State University in the development of science, education and culture of Uzbekistan, and is distinguished by the fact that University’s team

 The resolution envisages joining the top thousand of the world's top universities by 2026, the introduction of modern pedagogical technologies in the educational process, the expansion of joint training programs with leading universities around the world and many other effective activities.

 The mechanisms for the implementation of this document, which provides for the introduction of all elements of the modern university model, are also reflected in the decision.

Rector of Istanbul University, Professor Mahmud AK: - There is no doubt that the scientific and pedagogical staff of Samarkand State University, a group of researchers, will successfully implement all the provisions of the decision made by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.  After all, the team led by my relative, Professor Rustam Kholmurodov, the rector of the university with great organizational and scientific potential, will lead the university to great heights.  Perseverance, knowledge and skills are enough for this.  In turn, I would like to note that we will continue to cooperate with Samarkand State University in all fields of education and research of Istanbul University.

 We will take cooperation to a new, higher level by establishing the first Research Institute of Turkology in Uzbekistan and the Language Center, which will teach foreign languages at the level of international standards.

 We will raise our relations to a new level in the fraternization of Samarkand and Istanbul universities, which began with the cooperation of Mirzo Ulugbek and Kazizoda Rumi, Ali Kushchi, Ulugbek and Hagia Sophia madrassas.  The resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On additional measures to further improve the activities of Samarkand State University" gives a great impetus to these aspirations.
