Adiz Boboev, who is an acting governor of Samarkand region, and Alisher Abdusalomov,  an ambassador of Uzbekistan in South Korea, spoke at the forum and provided information about the economic potential and investment opportunities of Samarkand.

It was noted that trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and South Korea has reached a new level, and the great role of establishing direct strong ties between business circles in further expanding multifaceted cooperation between the two countries. They discussed mutual trade, investment, and joint projects in the fields of industry and trade. Adiz Boboev noted that Samarkand has great potential for developing cooperation in agriculture, education, textiles, mining, electrical engineering, pharmaceuticals and other areas. Entrepreneurs actively participated in the meetings organized within the framework of the forum and discussed the prospects for cooperation based on specific project proposals. A number of bilateral cooperation documents were signed at the forum. It is envisaged to further increase the economic potential of sectors and regions, implement joint projects in agriculture, education, healthcare, urban infrastructure, use of cost-effective technologies and other areas.
