On the occasion of Youth month the main events of the youth festival  under the motto "New Uzbekistan youth, let's unite!" which have been in the districts and cities of Samarkand region for almost a month have begun in the ancient and modern city.

The event has begun with the laying of flowers at the statues of Amir Temur, Mirzo Ulugbek and Alisher Navoi. The ceremony was attended by the governor of Samarkand region E. Turdimov, heads of regional sectors, activists and members of the general public, as well as young people.

According to the program of the four-day regional festival, the republican finals of Street Workout and Streetball will be held as part of the Five Initiative Olympics today. An intellectual game "Zakovat" will be held under the leadership of sector leaders in the evening,.
