
Adiz Boboev, an acting governor of Samarkand region, met with representatives of the Global Tourism Forum organization.
During the meeting, information was provided about the activities of the international organization. GTF is an organization that brings together global leaders in the field of tourism, government, investment and innovation and organizes international events. Every year, the Global Tourism Forum hosts a major annual meeting, often held in Brussels, with the participation of heads of state, tourism ministers, CEOs and global investors. In addition to the main summit, the GTF organizes a security summit, investment roundtables, regional forums and specialized summits in key tourism markets in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa throughout the year. Last year, a similar forum was held in Fergana region. According to this year's program, representatives of the Global Tourism Forum organization plan to hold such an investment tourism forum in the ancient city of Samarkand. The organizers made a presentation to the regional head about the forum, who will participate in it, and the issues to be discussed. The regional head highly appreciated the organization's prestige and activities, noting that the forum expected to be held in Samarkand will be of great importance in further enhancing the tourism potential of our country and the region as a whole. He said that it is gratifying that the work was carried out in consultation on the basis of the proposal and that ancient Samarkand was chosen to hold such a prestigious event.
