A head of the region Adiz Boboev held a meeting with Ni Xun who is Chinese Minister of housing, rural affairs and urban development.

Ni Xun first praised the architecture, rich historical monuments, and unique infrastructure of Samarkand at the meeting. “ I am happy to see the unique values of the Uzbek people in the city of Samarkand, which has a 3,000-year history. The culture of each nation cannot fail to influence the creative examples built in that region. In this sense, Samarkand is a special place not only in Asia, but also in the world today,” - said the Chinese Minister of Housing, Rural Affairs and Urban Development. Acting governor of Samarkand region Adiz Boboev noted that China is one of the leading countries in the world in the field of modern urban development. The parties exchanged views on the ongoing urbanization processes in the Samarkand region, the construction of modern residential complexes, and projects aimed at ensuring environmental sustainability. The meeting discussed issues of expanding cooperation projects in the areas of regional infrastructure, architecture, and urban development. The parties expressed their readiness to further deepen their cooperation and agreed to launch mutually beneficial projects in the future.
