The second Sunday of August has been celebrated as the Day of Construction Workers since 2017.

A solemn event was also held in Samarkand on the occasion of the professional holiday of builders. Adiz Boboev, an acting regional governor, participated in it and congratulated the workers on their professional holiday. At the event, a group of builders were awarded letters of gratitude from the regional governor and souvenirs for their fruitful work, worthy contribution to the development of the industry, and selfless service. The event was accompanied by a concert program by famous artists.
