Samarkand International Airport is being rebuilt at a cost of about $ 83 million.

The runway was rebuilt last year. The new terminal has been completely restored and is being decorated now. Roads, parking lots and lighting poles are being built.

 It is known that Mirzo Ulugbek's great heritage has become a symbol of Samarkand.  Therefore, the new airport building has been built in the form of the book "Ziji jadidi Koragoniy" by our great-grandfather.  The terminal is 175 meters wide and 25 meters high.  It will have a capacity to serve 800 passengers per hour.

 The renovated airport will have an "open skies" mode and a cargo service.  The new terminal is scheduled to be commissioned next month.
