Adiz Boboev, the governor of the region, met with representatives from the Turkish company “Aksa Elektrik,” the winner of an international tender for the management of electricity distribution networks.
Under a 30-year agreement, the investor will channel 1 billion US dollars into the region's energy infrastructure. The project encompasses the entire scope of operations for low-voltage electrical networks, including design, financing, construction, operation, and maintenance. The Turkish side has completed an audit of the most critical sections of the network and has developed 440 specific projects. Plans also include upgrading 1,000 transformers across the region, as well as replacing outdated utility poles and network infrastructure. Furthermore, the procurement of necessary mobile generators and specialized technical equipment is currently under consideration. During the meeting, particular attention was paid to preparations for the autumn-winter season. The governor emphasized the need to accelerate all work to ensure a trouble-free winter for the population and pledged full support in resolving any outstanding issues. At the conclusion of the meeting, Adiz Boboev emphasized the strategic importance of this project. Its implementation will help minimize power supply interruptions, reduce energy losses, and lower carbon emissions.
