Adiz Boboev, the governor of the region, met with Rafeda Binti Abdul Aziz, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Malaysia to Uzbekistan.

The discussion focused on promising avenues for expanding cooperation between the Samarkand region and Malaysia, as well as opportunities to further develop mutual relations. In particular, special attention was paid to fostering business and investment ties, and to strengthening direct engagement between entrepreneurs and representatives of relevant organizations. The organization of visits by Malaysian delegations to the Samarkand region was also discussed. Such visits would allow foreign partners to gain a closer understanding of the region’s economic and investment potential, as well as to identify concrete projects for future collaboration. At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed their readiness to further develop mutually beneficial relations and expand their cooperation.
