


A meeting was held between Adiz Boboev, the governor of Samarkand region, and Pramono Anung Wibowo ,the governor of Jakarta province.
The negotiations, which were held in a friendly and constructive spirit, are significant in that they are aimed at bringing trade and economic relations between the two regions to a new stage. The parties discussed, first of all, the prospects for expanding economic cooperation, improving the investment climate, and implementing mutually beneficial projects. In addition, the meeting identified such areas as the proper organization of the city's transport system, providing high-quality services to tourists, ensuring the sustainability of ecological green spaces, and implementing the “safe city” concept as priority tasks. The tourism sector was also in the center of attention during the negotiations. The issues of promoting Samarkand's rich historical and cultural heritage on an international scale and exchanging experience were considered. They also exchanged views on increasing tourism flows, organizing joint cultural events, and introducing modern approaches to the hotel and service system. At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to consistently develop cooperation, gradually implement specific projects, and intensify contacts between entrepreneurs. At the same time, it was emphasized that it is important to continue high-level mutual visits and maintain constant dialogue. This meeting will open a new page in relations between Samarkand and Jakarta, bringing economic and cultural ties between the two regions to a new level.
