The opening ceremony of the Eshon Temirkhan Tora mosque was held in Ishtikhon district.

 It was attended by the governor of the region Erkinjon Turdimov, the chairman of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, Mufti Usmonkhon Alimov.

 “The Eshoni Temirkhan Tora mosque was built in 1993 through the people's hashar, and the new building of the mosque was renovated in 2019-2021 on the basis of a modern design,” said the imam of the mosque Tashmuhammad Abilov.  - The total area of the mosque is 5 hectares, the new building is designed for 1,000 worshipers.

 The mosque, which serves the population of Sohibkor, Orlot, Qayirma, Uzbekkurgan, Bogikhan mahallas of the district, has additional buildings such as administration rooms (imam-khatib, deputies), a kitchen, a guardhouse and a hotel.

 The opening ceremony of the largest mosque "Domla Kamoliddin Axun" was also held in Koshrabat district.

 The governor of the region Erkinjon Turdimov and chairman of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, Mufti Usmonkhon Alimov and members of the general public first visited the mausoleum of Domla Kamoliddin Axun.  The verses of the Qur'an were recited and prayers were said.

 After that, the opening ceremony of the mosque and complex "Domla Kamoliddin Axun" took place.

 It should be noted that the mosque "Domla Kamoliddin Axun" was built in the 1990s by hashar, and in 2020-2021 was reconstructed by hashar on the basis of a modern project.  Construction of the new building of the mosque began on June 14, 2020 and was completed on March 20, 2021.
