The president of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoev got acquainted with the presentation of the master plan of the “Shirin” massif during his visit to Samarkand.

This neighborhood is located near the international airport, on the banks of the Zarafshan river. A modern massif has been planned to be built in this area in accordance with the creativity implemented in Samarkand in recent years. 389 hectares of land has been allocated for this purpose.

According to the project, there will be apartment buildings, schools and kindergartens, polyclinics, sports fields and entertainment venues. Large business and trade complexes give an additional impetus to economic development and job growth. Bridges and roads, infrastructure and communication networks connecting the massif with the city will be built.

The head of state gave instructions on improving the project based on advanced urban development experience and increasing social services.
