
A meeting was held between Adiz Boboev, who is the acting governor of Samarkand region and Makoto Yamashita, the Governor of Nara Prefecture of Japan.
The parties emphasized the development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan in recent years. Adiz Boboev emphasized that Japan is among the leading countries in the field of scientific research and has accumulated extensive experience in introducing innovations into the industrial sector. Using this experience and working together will be beneficial for our regions. The governor of Samarkand region is interested in strengthening inter-regional cooperation, in particular, implementing joint projects for the comprehensive development of the textile, pharmaceutical, metallurgical and electrical industries, as well as education and tourism, - said the head of Samarkand region. Makoto Yamashita expressed his support for all the initiatives. - I believe that our cooperation will be beneficial for both regions. Entrepreneurs from Nara also intend to actively participate in the implementation of a number of promising projects in Samarkand, - said Makoto Yamashita. It was agreed to strengthen mutually beneficial relations for the further active development of inter-regional cooperation.
