Adiz Boboev, who is an acting governor of the region, held a meeting with Turkish entrepreneurs and specialists led by Furkan Aydin, a director of “ Coca-Cola İçecek's” around Uzbekistan.
The meeting discussed the work being carried out in cooperation with the company, including the soft drink production enterprises launched in Tashkent, Khorezm, Namangan and Samarkand regions, their capacity, new projects and job creation. - The CCI plant, which was launched in the Jomboy district in May last year, was an important step for us. More than 200 jobs were created at the enterprise, which produces up to 280 million liters of soft drinks per year. In the first quarter of 2026, a new investment project will be implemented on the basis of CCI Samarkand limited LLC, and the production of famous brand drinks will be further expanded. We also plan to create additional jobs by producing new cars at the Sam auto plant in Samarkand, - said Furkan Aydin. During the conversation, Adiz Boboev noted that favorable conditions are being created for foreign investors in the region and that he supports long-term, fruitful cooperation with investors. - The flow of local and foreign tourists to Samarkand is increasing every year, - said Adiz Boboev. - Therefore, the demand for public transport, in particular minibuses, is high in the city. I think that if this type of vehicle is also launched as part of the cooperation, it will be effective. We are ready to create all the necessary infrastructure and logistics capabilities in this regard. After the meeting, the opening ceremony of the Samarkand drinks wholesale distribution center worth $ 4 million in the Samarkand district was held. More than 30 trucks in this center will deliver 38 types of soft drinks to retail outlets in the region. The enterprise has provided employment to more than 100 young people.
