


A presentation was made to the governor of Samarkand region on the status of projects implemented in small industrial zones and youth industrial and entrepreneurship zones in the region and proposals aimed at increasing their efficiency.
Currently, the total area of small industrial zones in the region is 274.2 hectares, and 332 projects are being implemented in them. Of these, 174 projects have been launched, creating 3,488 new jobs. At the same time, it was noted that 23 projects are operating at low capacity. 43.1 hectares of land have been allocated for youth industrial and entrepreneurship zones, and 168 projects have been located in these areas. The presentation analyzed issues such as the implementation of investment projects in industrial zones, the efficient use of land, timely collection of rent payments, and the formation of the necessary infrastructure in the regions. Proposals were also made to abolish the status of inefficient zones. The presentation also reviewed the activities of small industrial zones in the Kattakurgan district. A total of 11.8 hectares of land have been allocated in the districts of “Kattaming”, “the factory for cleaning cotton”, “Nisbot”, “Alijon”, “Kumushkent”, “Saroykurgan” and “Yakkabog”, where 13 investment projects are planned to be implemented. The regional governor, Adiz Boboev, familiarized himself with the current situation and opportunities and gave relevant instructions to those responsible on the need to increase the attractiveness of industrial zones, improve infrastructure and create favorable conditions for businessmen in order to widely attract entrepreneurs to them. It was noted that the implementation of these works will be under the control of the head of the region.
