On the occasion of the Day of Islam Karimov’s memory, the first President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

A series of events have been organized in Samarkand where he was born and raised,  Representatives of regional and city authorities, law enforcement agencies, luminaries and the general public recited the Quran for the soul of the deceased at the Islam Karimov Mausoleum. Also, wreaths were laid at the foot of the monument to Islam Karimov in Samarkand, remembering his contribution to the independence of the state and the development of the country, as well as his many years of political activity. At the memorial events, opinions were expressed about the life and work of Islam Karimov, his services to the state and the people.
