The Global Forum "Education in the field of human rights" has started its work in Samarkand city.
The first Asian Forum on Human Rights was organized and the discussion of global issues in the field of human rights was started in Samarkand 5 years ago,. At that time, the "Spirit of Samarkand" appeared in the discussion of human rights. The second Samarkand Forum held online in 2020 was dedicated to youth rights.
Next time, the third Samarkand forum is going to discuss the problems of development of education in the field of human rights based on the initiative put forward by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan at the 76th session of the UN General Assembly and the 46th session of the Human Rights Council. while opening the Global Forum, Akmal Saidov, director of the National Center for Human Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan suggested holding the event under the motto “According to human rights, education: from declaration to practice".

The speech of the Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee - Executive Secretary Sergey Lebedev was read by the Deputy Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee - Executive Secretary Beketzhan Jumakhanov.
More than 100 representatives of international, regional and foreign organizations are participating in the global forum offline and online. In particular, 10 international and 6 regional organizations, leading foreign human rights experts and professors from 30 countries are participating.
There are also more than 2,000 representatives of 150 national organizations among the participants of the forum. They mainly consist of activists from 20 ministries and agencies, 50 higher educational institutions and scientific organizations from all regions of our country, more than 60 civil society institutions, including youth organizations.
The participants were presented with more than 10 literature on the topic of education in the field of human rights and a special issue of the magazine “Democratization and Human Rights”.
