The head of our state signed the decree “On encouraging World War II veterans” and the resolution “On preparing for and worthy celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in World War II and the Day of Memory and Honor” onn February 19 of this year.

The decree stipulated that each World War II veteran would receive a cash award of 10,000 US dollars, each person equated to a World War II veteran would receive 25 million soums, and each participant of the labor front during the war years of 1941-1945 would receive 3 million soums. Adiz Boboev ,who is the head of the region, read out the President’s congratulations to Ahad Ochilov, a veteran of World War II, who lives in the Samarkand district, and presented him with gifts.
