
A “Pomidor sayli” was held in the neighborhood called Fozil Yuldash of Bulungur district.
The event also included an exhibition of finished products from processing enterprises, along with various tomatoes grown in the districts of our region. Tomato seeds, varieties, and methods for preparing various products from them were also demonstrated. Information was also provided on the varieties and yields of tomatoes grown in the region. The event included a presentation of tomato seeds, varieties, methods for growing them, and methods for increasing yields, as well as technologies for protecting them from various pests. Acting regional governor Adiz Boboev, speaking at the opening of the fair, noted that tomatoes are not only one of the main delicacies of our people's table, but also one of the most important products in the agriculture of our region. This year, disease-resistant and high-yielding varieties of tomatoes were planted in 2,631 hectares of open ground and 239 hectares of greenhouses in our region. In the competition organized as part of the Tomato Festival, 1st place went to representatives of Pastdargom, 2nd place to Bulungur, and 3rd place to Narpay districts. Representatives of cities, districts, and regional organizations who actively participated in the festival were also awarded.
