Commander of the Central Command of the United States Armed Forces,

A delegation led by General Michael Eric Kurilla accompanied by the first deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan - chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Sh. Kholmukhamedov has visited Samarkand.

 The guests not only got acquainted with the historical and sights of Samarkand, but also visited Urgut district.

 Representatives of the delegation enjoyed performances by folklore groups and national craftsmen from Urgut on the Teshiktash hill in neighborhood Karatepa.  They also witnessed competitions in ethnosports such as archery and Uzbek national wrestling.
