Bayram Begay, The President of the Republic of Albania,  began his acquaintance with Samarkand by visiting the Imam Bukhari complex.

The grandeur of the complex, which was rebuilt at the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in accordance with the authority of our great hadith scholar in the Islamic world, and the educational and spiritual environment here aroused great interest in the high-ranking guest. The Albanian leader was especially impressed by the innovative museum that provides information about the life and work of Imam Bukhari. he Imam Bukhari memorial complex is one of the most invaluable treasures of Uzbekistan. At the same time, this place is a sacred place of pilgrimage for Muslims around the world. I am glad that I had the opportunity to visit this shrine during my visit to Uzbekistan, - said the President of Albania.
