5 tourism clusters is going to be established in Samarkand in 2023.

604 thousand tourists from 152 countries have visited Samarkand over the past 9 months of this year.

Export of tourism services amounted to 97.7 million dollars. 100,000 more foreign tourists will have been attracted, and the volume of exports in the sector will have been expected to reach 110.0 million dollars by the end of the year.

Currently, the average stay of foreign tourists at the destination is 2.6 days (1 day's cost is 65-213 US dollars).More than 22,400 jobs have been created in tourism and related services this year.

At the same time, the tourism sector was selected as a driver, and family guest houses were established in 491 households of total 103 neighbourhoods  in the districts and cities of Samarkand region,. A total of 5,842 people were employed in this sector. The number of neighbourhoods selected as the driver of the tourism sector will be increased to 239, and the number of guest houses will be increased to 1,144 in 2023. A total of 4,000 tourists will be able to be accommodated in one year, and the industry's income will increase by 43.4 billion soums.

In addition, it is planned to establish 5 tourism clusters in the region in 2023. "Business tourism cluster" in Samarkand district, "Mountain tourism cluster" in Karatepa-Amankutan of Urgut district, "Pilgrimage tourism cluster" in "Imam al-Bukhari" complex in Payariq district, "Gastronomic tourism cluster" in Samarkand city, "Wine tourism cluster" in Taylak district
