More than 1,000 Samarkand residents received ID cards

ID-cards will be issued instead of biometric passports from January 4 this year.

In our region, 3 modern special devices were delivered to Samarkand city, 2 to Urgut district, and one to other cities and districts.  With their help, ID-cards are issued to citizens.

Over the past week, 1,088 citizens who applied to the district and city migration and citizenship offices in the region received ID cards.

 - No special documents are required to obtain ID-cards, - says the head of the Department of Migration and Citizenship of the Samarkand City Coordination Department, Lieutenant Colonel Olim Norkulov.  - Only passport, application and state duty - 89% of the basic calculation amount (198,470 soums) must be paid.  If you are a young person applying for a passport for the first time, provide an application, a birth certificate, a copy of the passport of the father or mother, it is possible to get ID-cards in one working day.  To date, more than 500 citizens of Samarkand have been issued ID-cards with the help of 2 special devices in our department and 1 special device delivered to the Department of Migration and Citizenship of the Coordination Department of Internal Affairs.
