
Adiz Boboev,who is an acting governor of Samarkand region, held a meeting with representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
The main topic of the discussion was the prospects and next stages of implementing a large-scale project to develop the public transport system in Samarkand, namely the purchase of modern electric buses and the creation of the necessary infrastructure for their effective operation. At the meeting, the parties reviewed in detail the current state of construction of the electric bus depot. Particular attention was paid to the issues of completing construction work within the established deadlines, compliance with all technological norms and standards. In addition, EBRD representatives and the regional leadership discussed issues related to the land plot allocated for the implementation of the second stage of the project. This stage involves expanding the network of electric bus routes and further developing the infrastructure, which, in turn, will significantly improve transport convenience for residents and guests of Samarkand.
Adiz Boboev emphasized that the development of transport and road infrastructure is a priority for improving the quality of life of the region's population. He expressed the readiness of the Samarkand regional administration to provide all-round assistance in solving the emerging problems and creating favorable conditions for the successful implementation of the project. At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their mutual interest in continuing effective cooperation and reached an agreement on close cooperation in all aspects of the project implementation in the future.
