Adiz Boboev, the acting governor of the region, received members of the Union of Engineers and Architects of the Turkic World headed by Ilyas Demirci.

The guests expressed gratitude for the assistance provided in organizing the Turkic World Congress of Urban Planning of the Union of Engineers and Architects of the Turkic World in Samarkand.

The parties noted that Uzbek-Turkish relations are developing rapidly due to the wise policy of the Presidents of the two countries. Today, 104 enterprises with the participation of Turkish companies are operating in the Samarkand region. In particular, 48 of them are joint ventures and 56 are foreign enterprises. Currently, work is underway on projects with a number of Turkish companies in the direction of urban planning in Samarkand. Particularly, the possibilities of effective cooperation with the Union of Engineers and Architects of the Turkic World in improving urban construction based on advanced technologies and management solutions, as well as studying the engineering achievements of fraternal peoples in the field of green energy, were considered. The head of the region expressed his readiness to consider specific proposals in various areas of cooperation in this process.
