A Chinese logistics hub may be established in Samarkand. Adiz Boboev, the governor of Samarkand region, held negotiations with representatives of “China Global Purchasing Group.”
During the meeting, the company presented a project to establish a large Chinese trade center. The investors have been working on developing this project for several years. The company already operates a Chinese trade center and plans to build a similar complex in Samarkand. They view Samarkand as an ideal location for this project due to its strategic position. The new center is envisioned to function as a major hub integrating the trade sector and economic zones. It will facilitate the consolidation and showcasing of Chinese products, as well as the organization of trade operations. The regional governor expressed full support for the project. However, he emphasized the need for a well-developed concept before selecting a suitable site for the complex. Relevant agencies were instructed to conduct a thorough analysis of the Chinese partners' initiative, after which specific locations for the complex would be proposed to the investors. The parties agreed to move the discussions to the practical implementation stage and to continue their cooperation.
