
During a meeting with the acting governor of Samarkand region, Laszlo Windis acknowledged the reforms in Uzbekistan, its open and pragmatic foreign policy at the international level.
The conversation touched upon the long-standing friendship and brotherly ties between Uzbekistan and Hungary, as well as the historical significance of relations between the two peoples. It was noted that the views and approaches of the two countries on international and regional issues are similar and close.
The Uzbek and Hungarian peoples are connected by common historical roots and close ties of cooperation. In recent years, all-round cooperation between Uzbekistan and Hungary has been strengthening. The visit of the delegation led by Laszlo Windis to our country will serve the further development of Uzbek-Hungarian relations, - said the head of the region, Adiz Boboev.
At the meeting, the Chairman of the Hungarian State Audit Office, Laszlo Windisch, expressed his opinion that ancient Samarkand left a great impression on him, and that he saw with his own eyes that the historical and modern aspects of this city attract Hungarian tourists for a reason.
The parties expressed their readiness to actively work on deepening mutual cooperation and implementing new initiatives.
