The current state of public education in the region, future plans and goals, and preparation for the new school year have been discussed at the forum.

The head of regional public education department Sh.Sultanov says that there are 1259 schools, 8 special boarding schools, 17 "Barkamol Avlod" children's schools, 1 children's library and 1 regional training center. More than 744,000 students are educated by 57,000 pedagogues. 954 of the 47,424 young people who graduated from the 11th grade of general education institutions received gold medals, and 144 received silver medals in the 2021/2022 academic year.

It is planned to admit 86,751 children to the 1st grade in the 2022/2023 academic year. In the last academic year, students from Samarkand won 7 prizes at the national stage of the Science Olympiad. In order to improve the quality of education in schools in remote and remote areas, 214 experienced teachers from other regions were hired as principals and teachers in 63 schools.

Governor of the region Erkinjon Turdimov participated in the forum and expressed his opinion on improving the quality of education.

- There is a saying in our people, "A teacher is as great as your father", - said E.Turdimov. - Whoever achieves something in this life, finds joy in his profession, his respect for his beloved school and dear teachers will forever be imprinted in his heart.

As long as there is life, the teaching profession will never lose its meaning and nobility and respect. But one question bothers me, why the conditions created for all schools are the same, but the level of knowledge of their students, the conditions they achieve are different.

Of course, it depends on the leader, that is, the personal example of school principals. Therefore, first of all, the leaders of educational institutions should act knowing that they are responsible for the future of young people and the future of our region.

At the forum, the schools that ranked high according to the results of the rating, the active teachers whose students achieved success were duly awarded.
