Adiz Boboev who is an acting governor of Samarkand region also met with Zhang Gan, Governor of Shaanxi Province of the People's Republic of China, within the framework of the second Uzbekistan-China inter-regional forum. The main goal of this meeting is to further strengthen mutual trade, economic and investment cooperation. As is known, Shaanxi is the cradle of Chinese civilization, a place of great history and rich cultural heritage. At the same time, Shaanxi Province is also one of the leading regions of China in the field of modern development. Scientific and research centers, high-tech clusters, industrial techno-parks, achievements in the fields of electronic components production, agricultural technologies, education and the digital economy are increasing the sustainable economic potential of this region. At the same time, Shaanxi is also considered an important strategic center for the development of transport and logistics infrastructure. The head of the region, Adiz Boboev, proposed the implementation of economic cooperation areas based on the capabilities of the province. These include the establishment of modern greenhouse complexes and fruit and vegetable processing enterprises in the Samarkand region, the cultivation and export of environmentally friendly agricultural products for the Chinese market, the establishment of joint ventures in the pharmaceutical, electrical, light industry and building materials sectors, the creation of a special industrial hub for Shaanxi companies in the Urgut free economic zone, the establishment of logistics centers on the Samarkand-Shaanxi route, the opening of a vocational training center in Samarkand to train specialists for the needs of industrial enterprises, and the launch of research projects on innovative technologies. Adiz Boboev said “We are interested in strengthening cooperation between Samarkand and Shaanxi not only in the economic, but also in the cultural and educational spheres”.

During the meeting, Zhang Gan, Governor of Shaanxi Province of the People's Republic of China, expressed his opinion on the consistent development of mutual relations, the regularity of visits and meetings at various levels, and expressed his support for the proposals made by the Acting Governor of Samarkand Region Adiz Boboyev to further strengthen mutual cooperation between Samarkand Region and Shaanxi Province.

Relevant tasks were identified at the meeting to further develop cooperation.
