As previously reported, a working group headed by the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis visited Samarkand region and got acquainted with the reforms and investment projects being implemented in the regions.

The working group first inspected the activities of the Kattakurgan State Pedagogical Institute. As part of the construction work carried out over the past years, a new educational building for 1,000 places and a student dormitory for 500 places have been built. Currently, physics, chemistry, biology and STEAM laboratories at the institute allow young people to combine theoretical knowledge with practice. During the talks, issues of improving the quality of education, strengthening scientific potential and training personnel based on the needs of the region were discussed. Then, they got acquainted with the activities of the Ishtikhan branch of “Afrosiyob Jeans” LLC in Ishtikhan district. The enterprise has a production capacity of 714 thousand pieces of denim products per year. 170 new jobs were created within the framework of the project. The senators exchanged views on the production process, working conditions and export geography. In addition, they were introduced to the presentation of the work being carried out on the digitalization of all sectors in the Ishtikhan district. Priority tasks in improving the quality of services to the population through digitalization, reducing excessive paperwork and ensuring transparency were discussed. As part of the visit, an open dialogue was organized in the “Kuktepa” neighborhood with members of the “neighborhood seven” and deputies of the local Kengash. The meeting exchanged views on the socio-economic development of the region, systematic solutions to the problems of the population, and the importance of mutual cooperation. At the same time, the working group also got acquainted with the improvement work being carried out in the newly built Imam al-Bukhari complex in the Payarik district. As you know, at the initiative of the Head of our State, in recent years, special attention has been paid to further improving the complex and developing its infrastructure in accordance with modern requirements. In particular, large-scale reforms have been carried out to introduce digital information and navigation systems, green the territory, effectively organize the flow of pilgrims, and improve transport and service services. The Chairman of the Senate emphasized that improving the quality of education in the regions, creating modern jobs, and widely introducing digital management systems are crucial for ensuring sustainable economic growth and improving the well-being of the population. The authorities were given specific instructions to expand best practices, fully utilize existing opportunities, and strictly monitor the implementation of the assigned tasks.
