Turkish specialists will also be involved in it
The governor of Samarkand region E. Turdimov met with professors and students at the Samarkand State Institute of Architecture and Construction today.
- The scale of construction work in our country is growing every year, - said E. Turdimov. - Naturally, there is a growing demand for the best, modern projects, construction companies and specialists. So far, we have had to meet this demand at the expense of foreigners, that is, to apply to design institutes, architects and even builders abroad. And now our specialists are reaching that level, improving their skills abroad. Thanks to the innovations and changes in the higher education system, we have a similar layer of qualified, modern-minded youth. Unfortunately, we are not able to use them, their knowledge and experience effectively. If we need a sculptor, an architect, a designer, we are accustomed to appealing to one or two people in this field who are already known. We don’t listen to young people, we are not interested in their ideas.
At the meeting, the governor stressed the need to organize a discussion club of talented students of the institute and study the best ideas and initiatives and discuss them together. From now on, talented students will be invited to the meetings of the regional town planning council, where their opinions will be heard. An artistic and technical council will be established at the institute.
Rector of the Institute Chidem Turkyilmaz supported the initiative and said that he would invite professors and specialists from leading universities in Turkey to the club.
