January 30 is the birthday of the First President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov today,.

Islam Karimov was the founder of the independent state of Uzbekistan, a great statesman and politician, who made the name of our country known to the world and worked selflessly for its development.  He has a worthy place in the hearts of our people with his multifaceted political activity and noble human qualities.

 In accordance with the decree of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev dated on January 25, 2017, the date of birth of the first President of our country is widely celebrated in our country every year.

 Today, a number of events are being held in Samarkand, where Islam Karimov was born and rested.

 The event began with a visit to the mausoleum of Islam Karimov in the city with the participation of representatives of the regional administration and the public.

 After that, wreaths were laid at the foot of the statue of Islam Karimov.  The life and exemplary deeds of the honored son of our people were remembered.
