A delegation led by Peter Pellegrini who is the President of the Slovak Republic  is currently in Samarkand.

A cultural program was organized at the Regional Musical Drama Theater with the participation of Slovak guests. Speaking at the opening of the cultural program, Viktor Boresky, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Slovakia to Uzbekistan, noted that friendly relations between the two countries are developing steadily and are acquiring a new meaning. He noted that strengthening cultural ties serves to further deepen mutual understanding and cooperation between peoples. A concert program was presented as part of the event with the participation of masters of art from Uzbekistan and Slovakia. Songs and dances, national music and modern performances made a great impression on those gathered. The musical evening was attended by UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay, President of the Slovak Republic Peter Pellegrini, Deputy Prime Minister Achilboy Ramatov,  Adiz Boboev, an acting governor of the region, and representatives of the general public.
