Recently, on the occasion of the Day of Friendship of Peoples, a group of our compatriots were awarded the state prize by the decree of the President.

Among them are 3 compatriots from Samarkand.

Today, the awarding ceremony of the winners was held in the regional administration. Also at the event, 8 citizens who have contributed to strengthening the atmosphere of interethnic harmony among all nationalities and ethnic groups living in our country, working selflessly to increase the efficiency of national cultural centers and friendship societies were awarded the "People's Friendship" badge.

“More than 20 nationalities live in our mahalla ( neighborhood),” says Angelika Saradjanova, chairwoman of the Marhabo mahalla ( neighborhood) in Samarkand. - We live in harmony with them as a family. Our weddings are one. Our children study together in kindergarten and school. In Uzbekistan, the same conditions are created for people of different nationalities. We are grateful for that. Happily, today the state award - the Medal of Fame - was placed on my chest. It gave me peace of mind and made me responsible. I will continue to work hard for the development of our country.

The event was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Committee on International Relations and Friendship with Foreign Countries under the Cabinet of Ministers Valery Tyan, Deputy Governor D. Mamadkulov.
