A triathlon race, which is part of the international brand “Challenge Family”, within the framework of the “Challenge Samarkand” sports festival will be organized for everyone on September 16 and 17 of this year.

“Challenge Family” is one of the world's most famous sports competitions, which are held in 30 countries around the world.  More than 50 thousand participants take part in “Challenge Family” every year.

  The swimming stage of “Challenge Samarkand” will be held on the Republican rowing channel.  The cycling stage consists of two laps.  It starts from the "Great Silk Road" international tourist complex and continues to the old city.  Athletes will cross the statue of Amir Temur, the Registan ensemble, the Bibikhanim mausoleum and the historical Afrosiyab market.

  The running stage will take place in the international tourist complex "Great Silk Road".

  Anyone can participate in “Challenge Samarkand”: Professional triathletes, amateur triathletes, women, children and anyone with training.

  Sprint (Triathlon sprint) - 750 m (swimming), cycling (20 km), running (5 km) - for people over 16 years old;

  Sprint Relay (Team sprint) - 750 m (swimming), cycling (20 km), running (5 km) - for over 16 years;

  Middle distance - 1.9 km (swimming), cycling (86 km), running (21.5 km) - for people over 18 years old;

  Middle distance Relay (Team middle distance) - 1.9 km (swimming), cycling (86 km), running (21.5 km) - for people over 18 years old;

  Women's run (for women) - running (5 km) - for people over 18 years old;

  Kids run (For children) - running (200 m - 4-5 years old), (400 m - 6-8 years old), (600 m - 9-11 years old).

  1,700 athletes are expected to participate in the event, most of which will come from abroad.  Registration is done online on the site and will last from January 17 to August 1.
