A meeting  with representatives of the Turkish company “AKSA Elektrik Perakende Satış A.Ş.” was held at the government of Samarkand region.

The meeting discussed the implementation of the tasks set out in the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated August 14, 2026 “On measures to implement the project “Modernization and management of electricity distribution networks in Samarkand region on the basis of public-private partnership”. The project envisages the modernization of power grids, a consistent reduction in energy losses, provision of consumers with high-quality and uninterrupted electricity, and the introduction of advanced international practices in the sector. The meeting paid special attention to the issues of increasing efficiency in the power grid by attracting a private operator, developing a healthy competitive environment, and improving the quality of services. The current tasks for the effective implementation of the project were determined at the end of the meeting.
