


A ceremony to award a group of active and selfless women was held in the Samarkand regional administration on the occasion of March 8 - International Women's Day.
In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Awarding on the Occasion of March 8 - International Women's Day”, women who, with their fruitful work, rich knowledge and experience, are actively participating in the large-scale reforms being implemented in our country, taking initiatives to build a New Uzbekistan and improve the well-being of the people were recognized. Adiz Boboev, the governor of Samarkand region, attended the event, sincerely congratulated all women on the holiday and spoke about their role in society. This year, a number of active women from our region received state awards. In particular, a member of the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan, poet Khosiyat Bobomurodova was awarded the honorary title of “People's Poet of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, an activist of the Samarkand City Nuroniylar Public Council Dilbar Imamova was awarded the Order “Soglom avlod uchun” (For a Healthy Generation) of the 2nd degree, a judo coach of the Samarkand Regional Sports School specializing in single combat sports Khurshida Kholikova was awarded the “Soglom turmush”(Healthy Life) medal, a guide-translator of the Samarkand State Museum-Reserve Nazira Zohidova, and a deputy mayor of the Toylok district - head of the family and women's department Naila Kambariddinova were awarded the “Shuhrat” medal. At the event, women were highly respected and wished great success in their future activities. The role of women in the development of society was once again recognized.
