Adiz Boboev, the governor of the region, emphasized at the meeting that relations between Uzbekistan and the United States have been developing at a high level in recent years as a result of dialogues and meetings between the heads of state.

At the same time, it was recognized that the number of enterprises with American capital in the Samarkand region is increasing. As a result, trade relations have expanded, and it was reported that by the end of 2025, the trade turnover between the Samarkand region and the United States will reach $15 million. Today, the region exports products such as raisins, dried fruits and vegetables, carpets and carpet products, canned goods, beverages, and pepper to the American market. During the talks, future areas of cooperation were also discussed. In particular, proposals were put forward to organize a visit of a delegation of Missouri legislative and business circles to the Samarkand region, to develop cooperation between higher education institutions, as well as to expand joint projects in the fields of agriculture, food industry, logistics, IT and tourism. After the meeting, Adiz Boboev was introduced to deputies of the House of Representatives and senators at a session of the Missouri General Assembly. This, in turn, is important in strengthening political and economic ties between the two regions.
