


Adiz Boboev, who is an acting governor of the region, held a meeting with a delegation of entrepreneurs and representatives of the tourism industry led by Nuralkhan Kusherov, the governor of the Turkestan region of Kazakhstan.
The meeting discussed strengthening cooperation in the tourism sector between the two regions, the areas of hotel, travel and service provision, and the implementation of new projects. During the conversation, the leaders of the two regions expressed their support for the proposals and initiatives made in the tourism sector, and a memorandum of cooperation was signed at the end. After that, a practical meeting was held between representatives of the tourism sector of the Samarkand and Turkestan regions on new cooperation. - We discussed the development of domestic and international tourism with our Turkestan colleagues, - said Tolib Jahongirov, head of the company “Shahrezada Sam Star Tour Discover”. - Both regions have high tourism potential. For example, pilgrims from all over the world come to the Ahmad Yassavi Mausoleum in Turkestan. Samarkand is always crowded with tourists. Especially today, the launch of a new air route on the Samarkand-Astana route will further strengthen cooperation between the two fraternal peoples. During the visit, the delegation members got acquainted with the activities of the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage and the Samarkand International Academy of Tourism. They also visited the sights of Samarkand.
