The governor of Samarkand region visited the private university “MERITUS” in Malaysia.

A meeting was held here with the director of the company “Halim Mazmin Group”, Dr. Halim Mohammad. The company “Halim Mazmin Group” operates in the areas of maritime transport, port services, logistics and supply chain, implementing large-scale projects on an international scale. During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for establishing mutually beneficial cooperation in these areas and its further development. Also, during the visit, special attention was paid to cooperation with the private university “MERITUS” in the field of education. It was noted that the university trains qualified specialists in the areas of “Business and Management”, “Finance and Accounting”, “International Trade” and “Information Technologies”. During the talks, issues of expanding academic cooperation, including the establishment of student exchange programs, the implementation of joint educational projects, and support for investment initiatives were discussed in detail. This meeting is expected to serve as an important step in strengthening economic and educational ties between the Samarkand region and Malaysia.
