The opening ceremony of the international exhibition "Spirit of Samarkand that unites our creativity" has been held in the "Chorsu" gallery in the city of Samarkand within the framework of the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
About 40 artists from Uzbekistan, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russian Federation, Tajikistan and other countries presented their works at the exhibition.
- This exhibition brought together skilled artists of the countries which are members of SCO, - says Kyrgyz artist Yakhabbek Junushev. – “Of course, this will help to strengthen relations in the field of tourism and art at the international level, exchange experience with artists and introduce our skills to the world”. Before the summit, each artist created four works depicting the historical monuments and complexes, traditions, and lifestyle of Uzbekistan. When I think of Uzbekistan, the first thing that comes to mind is the historical city of Samarkand. That's why I described Bibikhanim Madrasa and interesting places of Samarkand in my work.
During the event, the artists were presented with certificates and gifts from the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.
This exhibition is going on 7 days.
