A new BPO(business process outsourcing) center has been officially opened in the city of Samarkand
The official opening ceremony of the next BPO center called "Prime Samarkand" has been held in Samarkand on October 27.
Minister of ICT Sherzod Shermatov and governor of Samarkand region Erkinjon Turdimov took part in the event.
The aim of the establishment of the BPO center is to create jobs for young people, strengthen cooperation with foreign client companies, train high-level IT specialists who can contribute to the transformation of Uzbekistan into a regional IT hub in the future, and thereby the people of Uzbekistan capital development.
A number of existing issues and proposals were discussed regarding specific plans for the future during the meeting with the leaders of the center,.
This BPO center was opened with the support of the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications Development, IT Park, the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Alleviation and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
